Mr Georgios Pafitanis Consultant Profile
Mr Pafitanis has trained in some of the most prestigious microsurgical fellowships in Taiwan, Tokyo-Japan, Seoul-Korea and NHS St.Thomas in London, and, further refined his skillset in aesthetic surgery at The London Clinic and Stockholm-Sweden.
Within the NHS, he specialises in complex lower extremity reconstruction following trauma and at University College Hospital where he performs complex head and neck reconstruction after cancer surgery.
Mr Pafitanis has a strong interest in research and microsurgical education. He completed his PhD, in the field of reconstructive microsurgery in London. He maintains strong academic practice and he published a microsurgical textbook. He has published over 100 scientific articles, presented his work internationally and received several prestigious awards in microsurgery, such as the Robert Zhong award (2016), the ESPRAS Fellow (2019) and EURAPS Young Plastic Surgeon (2021).
Mr Pafitanis is listed on the GMC specialist register and is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).
