Mr Rajeev Sharma is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgery of all shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions. He obtained his medical degree from the University in Indore, India, in 1982, before undertaking advanced fellowship training in the USA at Louisville and Grand Rapids, followed by a fellowship in Derby, UK.
Mr Sharma is a passionate educator, having completed his orthopaedic training from the University of Leicester as a Lecturer. He currently holds an honorary post as a senior lecturer at Imperial College London, and is a senior examiner for FRCS Orthopaedics examination for the combined Royal Colleges of Surgeons in UK and Ireland.His primary clinical interests include arthroscopic surgery of the entire upper limb, as well as joint replacements of the shoulder, elbow and hand. With extensive experience in managing complex sports injuries, he stays at the forefront of the latest treatment modalities. He adopts a multidisciplinary approach, collaborating closely with expert physiotherapists and hand therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Beyond his clinical work, Mr. Sharma frequently lectures on medical innovations and the future of healthcare. Passionate about mentoring, he provides guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs in the healthcare sector.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys rugby, cricket, boxing, and—after a visit to Japan—sumo wrestling. He humorously admits to being ‘terrible’ at golf and considers himself a self-proclaimed chef, though those who have sampled his cooking may not entirely agree.
