Mr Khan graduated from the Royal Free NHS and University College London Medical School and completed his basic surgical training on the Royal Free Hospital Training Rotation. He obtained his membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007 before working as a Trauma Fellow at the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals where he was trained in both resuscitative and reconstructive trauma surgery. Upon completing his trauma fellow position, Mr Khan embarked on his PhD Studies in Trauma at Queen Mary, University London which he awarded in 2014.

Mr Khan returned to complete his higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the prestigious Royal London training program before being awarded an eighteen month international fellowship in the University of British Columbia Hand and Upper Extremity Unit in Vancouver, Canada. During this time, he gained experience and expertise in minimally invasive and arthroscopic upper limb techniques, complex revision and reverse geometry shoulder arthroplasty surgery and traumatic disorders of the upper limb including soft tissue reconstruction and microsurgery. He also learnt cutting edge techniques in addressing spasticity in the upper limb.

Mr Khan is now an Upper Limb Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant at the world renowned Royal Free NHS London where he was worked since his return from Canada in 2021, and has been appointed as Trauma Lead. The unit is a Central London teaching hospital. He also has a keen interest in research and education. Mr Khan has been the co-investigator in numerous national and internationally funded research trials. He has been extremely active in high quality research and published widely in peer review journals. He has been awarded numerous prizes for his dedication to trauma and orthopaedic patients. Mr Khan is also an invited faculty of numerous national and international courses.
