Prof Mara Kyrgiou Consultant Profile
Professor Mara Kyrgiou is a consultant gynaecologist, having trained in obstetrics and gynaecology. She specialises in advanced minimal access surgery for complex benign disease and completed subspecialty training in gynaecologic oncology at Imperial College NHS Trust. She holds the Chair in Gynaecologic Oncology at Imperial College London.
Professor Kyrgiou has expertise in minimal access (hysteroscopy and laparoscopy) and gynaecological cancer surgery and gynaecology oncology. She offers rapid access services for suspected cancer, cancer prevention, colposcopy for cervical precancer and vulva disease. She specialises in ovarian cysts and cancer surgery for endometrial, cervical, vulva and ovarian cancer as well as fertility-sparing surgery for gynaecological cancers. She also has an interest in benign gynaecological problems, menopause, early pregnancy, endometriosis, fibroids, menstrual disorders and pelvic pain.
