Rahila Zakir is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Vitreoretinal Surgeon with a substantive post at a nearby specialist eye hospital, and part of the regional team for vitreoretinal conditions.
She specialises in cataract surgery, retinal detachments, retinal tears, flashing lights and floaters, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, diabetic eye disease and macular disorders, and as she continues to work in the Eye Casualty department, she sees general eye conditions as well.
She is available to see patients on an urgent basis outside routine clinic times on an as required basis.
