Mr Roger Wong Consultant Profile
Roger Wong is a consultant at St Thomas’ Hospital (London) and Frimley Park Hospital (Surrey). He obtained his first undergraduate degree in Neurobiology at the University of California, Berkeley and his medical degree from St. George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London.
His ophthalmic training in the London area included Moorfields Eye Hospital, Kings College Hospital, and St. Thomas’ Hospital. His interests include minimally invasive suture-less vitreoretinal surgery for retinal detachment, macular diseases, diabetic eye disease, inflammatory eye diseases, complicated cataract surgery, and ocular trauma.
He has been invited to speak at various national and international conferences. Mr. Wong continues to be active in clinical research having published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and written various book chapters.
He continues his charitable work with the Lifeline Express Charity, invited to provide specialist experience and knowledge exchange with various ophthalmic departments in China.
He is an honorary lecturer and the Lead Clinician for medical students for ophthalmology teaching for Kings College students at St Thomas Hospital.
