Mr Panagiotis Liantis Consultant Profile
Mr Panos Liantis is Consultant Spinal and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital (GSTT).
He is UK fellowship trained in spinal surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery UCL.
Mr Liantis receives a large number of tertiary referrals for primary and revisional problems. He has experience in minimal access techniques in Spinal Surgery and in the management of adult and paediatric spinal deformities, scoliosis, kyphosis, tumours, spinal trauma, osteoporotic fractures, vertebroplasty, infections, lumbar and cervical disc degeneration, sciatica, injection therapies for low back and leg pain.
Mr Liantis has a PhD in Orthopaedics and Bachelor in Educational Studies. He has also been interested in research and has published in peer reviewed orthopaedic and spinal journals. He is the lead clinician of the fellowship program of the complex spinal surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and is involved in the teaching of undergraduate medical student and postgraduate clinical doctors at King’s College.
He is a member of the British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS), Society of Lateral Access Surgery ( SOLAS), AO Spine Foundation, The North American Spine Society (NASS) and Spinal Research Group at GSTT.
