Dr Bashir is an expert in skin disease, skin surgery, skin cancer and aesthetic and laser dermatology.

Dr Bashir is currently in NHS practice at King’s College Hospital, London and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students in Dermatology at King’s College, London. Additionally, he trains the next generation of dermatologists on the London Deanery training programme.

With expertise in the treatment of skin cancer, Dr Bashir has specialist skills in Mohs micrographic surgery having completed formal fellowship training in surgical and laser dermatology at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London.

He performs over 250 cases of Mohs surgery per year including highly complex cases on eyelids, ears, noses and lips. In addition to Mohs surgery, he undertakes reconstructive surgery after skin cancer and has close links with specialists in plastics, occuloplastics and maxillofacial surgery and pathology should further specialist care be needed.

In addition to skin cancer, Dr Bashir has a keen interest in anti-ageing and aesthetic dermatology. He enjoys providing rejuvenating treatments such as fractional laser resurfacing, laser hair removal, laser treatment of veins, fillers and toxin based wrinkle treatments.Advanced laser dermatology is a core part of Dr Bashir’s practice and he uses lasers included the pulsed dye, Nd:YAG, Alexandrite and IPL systems. He is highly experienced user of CO2 laser in fractionated, surgical and cutting modes to treat a variety of skin lesions.

He has trained at some of the top centres in the world: the University of California, San Francisco, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospital. London.

He regularly publishes his research at the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
