Dr Nik Kamperidis Consultant Profile
Dr Kamperidis is a consultant gastroenterologist and endoscopist. He was appointed as a consultant at St Mark’s National Bowel Hospital, a tertiary centre of excellence for Gastroenterology.
He qualified as a doctor in Greece and completed his postgraduate studies and specialist training in the UK. He undertook research studying the effects of nutrients in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and that led to an MD (Res) thesis at Barts and The London School of Medicine.
He also completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy at St Mark’s Hospital and is proficient in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy.
His main clinical interests are Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, dyspepsia, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy.
He remains active in the field of research and training. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented in international conferences.
He is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation and the Royal College of Physicians.”
