The London Clinic congratulates the King for his personal message – broadcast as part of Stand Up To Cancer campaign – about his experience of living with cancer and the importance of raising awareness and the value of early diagnosis.
By recording the message for this year’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign, run by Cancer Research and Channel 4, the King emphasised how vital cancer screening checks are to ensure more people catch the disease at an early stage. The King said his experience of living with cancer had shown him that “the darkest moments of illness can be illuminated by the greatest compassion,” as he praised those who cared for cancer patients.
As a hospital and a charity, with HRH Queen Camilla as our Patron, we have been treating and caring for patients for almost 100 years, and committed to supporting cancer in particular. The London Clinic understands and recognises the vital importance that early diagnosis has for people diagnosed with cancer. The King’s message will help save lives through encouraging people to get screened and make that all important check-up.
